IV Therapy
Intravenous therapy is a cornerstone of what we do at Ashland Natural Medicine. By delivering nutrients, vitamins, ozone and other therapeutic compounds directly into the bloodstream, IV therapy bypasses the digestive tract entirely, so the full dose reaches your circulation rather than whatever survives digestion. Our IV suite is at 180 Lithia Way in Ashland, Oregon, and we see patients from Medford, Talent, Phoenix and across Jackson County.
That matters most when the digestive tract is compromised, when oral dosing is not enough, or when we need a therapeutic concentration quickly. We use IV therapy for chronic and persistent infection including Lyme and coinfections, mold and mycotoxin illness, heavy metal detoxification, post-viral and Long COVID recovery, low cellular energy, and supportive care alongside conventional treatment.
At Ashland Natural Medicine, each IV therapy protocol is meticulously tailored to the individual patient's needs and health goals. Dr. Chlebowski carefully assesses each patient's unique health profile, considering factors such as current conditions, medical history, nutritional status, and treatment objectives. This personalized approach ensures that no two treatment plans are identical, maximizing the therapeutic potential for each individual.
Some of the key benefits of IV therapy at our clinic include:
Enhanced nutrient delivery. By circumventing the digestive system, IV therapy allows for the administration of therapeutic doses of nutrients that may not be achievable through oral supplementation alone.
Rapid results: Many patients report feeling improvements in their condition shortly after receiving IV treatments, as the nutrients are immediately available for cellular use.
Support for various health concerns: Our IV protocols can be designed to address a wide spectrum of issues, from boosting immune function and energy levels to supporting detoxification and chronic disease management.
Complementary approach: IV therapy can be seamlessly integrated with other natural medicine treatments offered at our clinic, or conventional medicine treatments, creating a comprehensive and synergistic healing strategy.
Customizable formulations: We can adjust the composition and dosage of IV treatments based on the patient's evolving needs and response to therapy.
By leveraging IV therapy within a naturopathic framework, we can address complex conditions with a precision that oral treatment often cannot reach.
What a session is like
Most IV appointments run between forty-five minutes and two hours, depending on the protocol. You will be seated comfortably in our IV suite. A nurse places the line, and after that there is nothing to do but rest. Patients read, work, talk, or sleep. Bring water and eat something beforehand: arriving hydrated and not fasting makes the whole thing easier.
What a course looks like
A single IV can help, but most of the conditions we treat respond to a series rather than a one-off. We usually start with a small number of treatments, review how you responded, and build a schedule from there. Some patients come weekly through a difficult stretch and then taper. Others use IVs seasonally, or when their body signals the need.
Safety and what we ask of you
IV therapy is well tolerated, but it is a medical procedure and we treat it as one. Tell us about any kidney or heart condition, whether you are pregnant, and every medication and supplement you take, including anything over the counter. Some IV constituents interact with medications, and some protocols require lab work before we begin. High dose vitamin C in particular requires a G6PD test first, which we will arrange.
If you feel lightheaded, cold or unwell at any point during an infusion, tell us. We can slow the rate or stop.
